🍣 My Secret Mid-Week Escape: Sushi, Art, and Skyline Views

If you’re looking for me on a Thursday night, I’m probably descending into my favorite underground haunt: Mrs. Fish. There is just something about the vibe here—it’s like stepping into a living art gallery that just happens to serve some of the best sushi in DTLA.

Here is how I usually do it (and why you should too!):

• The 5 PM "Bar Scene" Kickoff: I always try to make it for Happy Hour (5 PM – 6:30 PM). The bar scene is electric, and it’s the best time to grab a cocktail and just stare at those massive suspended saltwater fish tanks. It’s incredibly immersive and honestly, the best "office" decompression I’ve found.

• The Food (The Main Event): Whether I’m sitting at the sushi bar or grabbing a table, the fish is always pristine. Their full dinner menu is available until 10 PM, and I never leave without ordering some nigiri.

• The "Pro Move": If you really want to do it right, ask for the Special Access DTLA Experience Menu. You get an incredible dinner here at Mrs. Fish, and then—this is the best part—it comes with complimentary rooftop drinks at Perch LA.

Going from the vibrant, artistic "underwater" vibe of the basement to the open-air skyline views of the rooftop is the ultimate Los Angeles night out. 🏙️✨
